For a span exceeding ten years, information about Peter's Master Plant Diets and Ayahuasca ceremonies has been disseminated primarily through word-of-mouth channels. In response to contemporary shifts and with the intent to broaden accessibility, his practice has assumed an online presence under the name of the Mahāvana Foundation over the past two years.

Situated in the Peruvian Amazon proximate to the city of Iquitos, the Mahāvana Foundation constitutes a conscientious undertaking that converges land preservation, study and application of traditional plant medicine. In contradistinction to expansive enterprises, our center prides itself on offering an intimate and individualized experience. Retreats, whether private or semi-private, are deliberately constrained, accommodate no more than four participants at any given time.

What makes us stand out is that our guests report feeling incredibly safe during our ceremonies and Dietas in comparison with other places they had been to.. We will take a good care of you, while at the same time respecting your boundaries and need for privacy.

With Peter's experience of having lived for 15 years as a Hindu monk and Anna's psychological angle, our unique approach integrates Eastern wisdom traditions with modern Western psychology and the modes of traditional Amazonian healing. This synthesis of diverse disciplines affords our guests a holistic and transformative journey, fusing ancient wisdom with contemporary insights in the cradle of the Amazonian river.

Our Story

Embracing quality and personalized care over big commercial endeavors...

Peter and his unique perspective

Peter began his spiritual journey as a teenager when he joined the Hari Krishna movement. He embarked on a walking pilgrimage that spanned a significant part of the world and lasted for five years.

This journey led him to India, where he received ordination as a Hindu monk. For the subsequent 10 years Peter stayed in India learning the ancient lore of mantra chanting.

After more than a decade of studying Eastern wisdom, Peter ventured into the Amazon jungle to explore the healing songs and plants unique to the region.

In the Amazon, Peter apprenticed under the guidance of the traditional Mestizo Curandero, don Roldan Gallindo, and his son, Gumercindo Gallindo. Eventually, people started arriving for his own Ayahuasca ceremonies and Master Plant Diets.

With over a decade of experience working with the healing plants of the Amazon, Peter has become a trusted and knowledgeable guide, dedicated to supporting the spiritual journeys of those seeking his guidance.

In his practice, traditional ceremonial chants intertwine with the ancient energy of the mantras, medicinal songs, and other powerful elements, guiding the ceremonial experience in a profound and impactful way.

Our main facilitator, Anna, apart from taking time for dieting Master Plants, is also undergoing training in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, a widely recognized and evidence-based approach to mental health treatment. This, together with Inner Child Work and counseling skills, allow her to provide additional support and guidance for those seeking to integrate their Ayahuasca experience into their daily lives.

Anna's goal is to create a transformative, empathic, and healing experience for all participants, ensuring that they feel supported and comfortable throughout their journey. She is dedicated to facilitating a safe and inclusive space where individuals can grow, learn, and transform.
